Charles Tomlinson reviews David Russell's 'Sonidos Latinos'
Russell's playing is as engaging as it is technically spectacular, and there is an effortless sense of understanding in Russell's performance. That's due in no small part to being surrounded by the music and culture of the guitar in both his current home in northern Spain, and in his childhood home of Es Migjorn, Menorca, where he has a street named after him.
